From the beginning of creation, God
has desired fellowship (a relationship) with man - the epitome
of His design on Earth. This foundation teaches us the
importance of being full of praise, being in an attitude of
thanksgiving and worship towards God, who is the source of
everything and all that we are.
The Bible
declares in John 4: 24 that God is seeking those who will
worship Him in sprit and in truth. As a Church, we are
called to be a Christ-centered body that is building lives
through a healthy congregation, committed to reaching our city,
nation, and indeed the world. Our mission is to connect with
people and lead them into authentic and steady growth in a
relationship with Jesus Christ by creating environments where
people are equipped and encouraged to point up, point in, and
point out through the several avenues, one of which is worship.
Worship and Music
at the Uncommon Church is a unique experience that transcends a
physical or emotional experience. It is a divine protocol
according to (Psalms 100:1 - 4) to enter His gates with
thanksgiving and His courts with praise; give thanks to Him and
praise His name. God expects us to come before Him rejoicing and
celebrating what He has done and what He is doing in our lives.
Our style of worship
at the Uncommon Church is more contemporary and upbeat. In
conformity to scripture, we completely believe in the freedom of expression in praise and
worship through singing, clapping, dancing, shouting, lifting up
of hands and whatever
appeals to our congregants in the expression of themselves to
God.
Psalm 150 declares Praise
the LORD. Praise
God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power; praise him for his
surpassing greatness. Praise him with the sounding of
the trumpet, praise him with the harp and lyre, praise
him with tambourine and dancing, praise him with the
strings and flute, praise him with the clash of cymbals,
praise him with resounding cymbals.
